Discover the Visual Photopoems

In my artwork, I have defined visual photopoems as a creative expression, by combining my original photopoems with video. I am always experimenting with new art forms, searching for a unique vision, with a deeper meaning and connection.

The Great Willow ~ a Visual Photopoem ~ Daciana Lipai – Fine Art Conceptual Photography

In the shadow of the willow,
I have searched for my life.

In the coldness of the willow,
Broken, I kneeled and cry.

In the calmness of the willow,
I have felt my absolute helplessness.

In the darkness of the willow,
I have buried a part of my heart.

In the silence of the willow,
Desperately, I became a creaming shade.

In the womb of the willow,
Torn, I have found my nothingness.

In the loneliness of the willow,
Smaller, and smaller, I disappeared completely.

In the disillusion of the weeping willow,
Jaded, I searched for forgiveness.

I have died, over and over again,
At the greatness of the willow.

At the greatness of the willow,
I watched the sky spilling out of love.

PRETEND ~ a Visual Photopoem ~ Daciana Lipai – Fine Art Conceptual Photography

Let’s pretend

Everything is ok.

Let’s pretend

It was all a nightmare

I created this VISUAL PHOTOPOEM, a combination between a video and a photopoem, trying to encapsulate the entire spectrum of emotions and the chaos that emerged from the constant shifting of my thoughts, trying to put 2020 in an image.

When fear and uncertainty take over our minds, we tend to deny reality and block our emotions, sinking more and more into a dream world. Searching for an escape we cease to see the truth, and we pretend everything is ok.

BURDENED ~ a Visual Photopoem ~ Daciana Lipai – Fine Art Conceptual

Photography

In my foolishness,
I have let myself despair,
By empty thoughts.
In my despair,
I have let myself fooled,
By empty words.

SOMEWHERE ~ a Visual Photopoem ~ Daciana Lipai – Fine Art Conceptual

Photography

At the end of the words,
Are all the books closed?
Beneath the skies,
Above the ground,
Somewhere in-between.
What will you choose?
When time is a thin illusion,
Between worlds,
Who will you be?

BACK HOME ~ a Visual Photopoem ~ Daciana Lipai – Fine Art Conceptual

Photography

Trying to close my eyes…
imagine death.
imagine life.
From a far distance,
Silent voices,
Are calling me
back home.

WHAT IS PHOTOPOETRY ~ Daciana Lipai – Fine Art Conceptual

Photography

I am presenting my art as photopoems, as I’ve defined them, by combining photography and my written poems. Experimenting with a new art form, I am always searching for my true voice and a unique vision.

My creative process starts from my personal emotions and life experiences, trying to find a deeper meaning in relation to human existence, or just trying to create a little bit of order in this chaos called life.

TURNING BLACK INTO COLOR ~ Daciana Lipai – Photopoetry Book

Turning Black into Color is a beautiful color book, a combination of poems and photography.

A  collection of photopoems, that documents the author’s journey through grief, offering a word of comfort to anyone who lost someone dear, in the hope that it will open the path of healing, by turning grief into happiness, and every black day, into a color one again.

Fine Art Photopoetry ~ Daciana Lipai – Creating Photopoems

In my journey of finding my creative voice, and my unique style, I have combined my written poetry with my photography, and defined it as PHOTOPOETRY.
My journey started in 2003 when I first created photopoems at my first Personal Exhibition in 2003 entitled Everlasting Ephemerals.

Since then it came a project of deep love. A reflection of life and death, loss, and purpose. A journey to resilience. Life envisioned in art.

When you lose a loved one, where does all the love go?

Fine Art Photopoetry ~ Daciana Lipai – The Photopoetry Book
First Edition – a year of 366 days of poetry captured in photographs

your happiness lies in your ability to be brutally sincere with yourself
your power to love lies in your capacity to be honest and open up your soul completely

PhotoPoetry is a fusion of fine art photography and poetry. Art is presented in a beautiful combination of written poetry on a piece of paper, captured in photographs.

The Photo Poetry Book started as a personal 366 days challenge, creating each day photopoetry, an experiment, in my healing process, in my grieving moments, after a depression, after a breakdown, when my whole world fell apart and I started questioning the purpose of life and trying to find a meaning for my life. By creating art again and writing again, The Photo Poetry Book project helped me along the way with all my struggles, social and emotional, that we all, as people, have to deal with. It is a project of deep love, purpose, loss, a tribute to love and death, an encouragement to go on and never give up, a process of learning and finding hope again.

When you lose a loved one, you will have to transform the grief into an ocean of love
