One of my images won and was selected for a group exhibition entitled Fine Art Photography, in Blank Wall Gallery, Greece, and can be visited between 11 – 23 October 2019.
The image is one of my favorite I’ve created. Entitled The Photopoet Self Portrait, it is one of the dearest and meaningful poems I have written presented into fine art photography. The idea started with the contradictory state of mind and the constant feeling that I am always ripped in two. For years I have tried different ways to efficiently combine photography and my poems. Visually it can be really challenging to define a new photography concept, which I defined as photopoetry.
The contradiction comes with the struggle of having to choose between writing poetry or creating photography. It took me years of working on this poem and image until I’ve reached its final version, that is why I am so glad and honored that this photopoem was accepted and will be exhibited in a prestigious and well-known gallery.
You can find the image on the gallery website here.
Lots of love, STAY SAFE
