TURNING BLACK INTO COLOR – Photopoems for the Brokenhearted –

photopoems for the brokenhearted,
the path of finding resilience after losing someone
dear and transforming the grief into happiness

Published.
It was a long and exhausting journey.
Finally, after so much time, I can hold the book in my hand.
When I started the project in 2016, I never thought it would be such a long-term project, and I never thought I would publish my second book from it.
It is truly a dream come true. The book is beautiful and I am not saying that because it’s mine. But it’s exactly how I imagined it. Color. Beautifully vivid printed. Small like a poetry book. And very accessible.
It is exactly where I imagined it, somewhere in-between a trade book and a table coffee book.
Photo and poetry into the same book.

Even now, I can’t express what holding this book means to me.
I love writing, creating images, editing, and making books, but when comes to book launches and social media, it’s another discussion. I can’t really say that I hate it, but it’s really energy-draining and stressful.
I love to plan. I think that when dealing with personal projects the most important thing is motivation, having a plan, and sticking to the plan. I prepared so much for the book launch, and I have learned so much in the process, but there are so many factors that you will learn by doing, in the process. Many of them are things that you can’t plan or control, like the crash of my computer during the launch, Facebook and Instagram blocking my page, feed and website link, after working years to build the website; like Amazon blocking my account or Amazon canceling my book order before the launch, and having to make a book launch without a book. Oh, it was a funny, funny journey, if I think about it!
If you missed it, you can have a laugh by watching the Youtube video here.

If I look back I know I wouldn’t change a thing. I know it wasn’t perfect, but it’s a big step forward for me. And what pushed me forward were the beautiful words and reviews I received.
If I know my book brought a nice word, comforting, or helped one single soul, for me, it was worth it.

You can read more about the book here or you can purchase the book here.
Don’t forget you can always leave a review. Reviews are important because they help spread the word and people who need a kind word can find more easily the book. And I thank you in advance. ❤

Publishing this book brings me so much joy and gratitude. I will forever be thankful for all the lovely people supporting me.
